Electrical
Textile Machinery Relocation & Installation
Project Overview
JDI began working with this textile manufacturer in 2014, starting by building their entire operations and plant warehouse. After construction was finished, we were hired to relocate equipment from their existing facility to the new location. We had to disassemble multiple 30’ diameter, 16’ tall fiberglass weaving machines, including structural steel frames, motors, control panels, and rollers. After disassembly, we loaded and coordinated logistics to transport the machinery and parts safely, and upon reaching the location we unloaded and began reassembling. We connected electrical and air utilities to the machinery and assisted in startup with their maintenance. Our maintenance team worked with the client to reload the fiber strands and realign them to restart production.
Results
This was a successful project for the client and JDI as we were able get their production running ahead of the original schedule.
