Textile Machinery Relocation & Installation
Textile Machinery Relocation - Project Overview
JDI began working with this textile manufacturer in 2014, starting by building their entire operations and plant warehouse. After construction, we begin to relocate equipment from their existing facility to the new location.
We disassemble multiple 30’ diameter, 16’ tall fiberglass weaving machines, including structural steel frames, motors, control panels, and rollers. After disassembly, we load and coordinate logistics to transport the machinery and parts safely. Upon reaching the location we unload each of the machines’ components and begin reassembling.
JDI’s millwrights set, align, and grout the machines into place, careful to make sure tolerances are close to perfect. This requires lasering in, calculations, and precision levels our experts utilize to meet scope requirements.
Finally, we connect electrical components, such as the Yaskawa GPD506’s and airlines to the utilities for the machinery and assist in startup with their maintenance. Our own maintenance team also works with the client to reload the fiber strands and realign them to begin production.
Results
This is a successful project for the client and JDI as we are able get their production running ahead of the original schedule. By employing the millwrights the client needs, we enable their production and operations to meet deadlines to serve their customers.
Ultimately, this textile machinery relocation demonstrates that Oconee County manufacturers can rely upon JDI.
